Author guidelines
In accordance with the announcement of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of September 17, 2012, the quarterly "Economic and Political Thought" is placed on the list of indexed journals. A publication of an article in the quarterly results in the award of four points.
1. A person interested in publishing their scientific article in the quarterly “Economic and Political Thought” should send the following documents to the editor:
a) An application for a publication of their article in the quarterly „Economic and Political Thought”. The author should provide the editor with information including their academic degree, given name and surname, name of institution they work for and its address, address for correspondence, telephone number, e-mail address and a short autobiographical note;
b) The following declaration:
I herby declare that I am the author of the text entitled:

The text does not contain any legal defects and has not been published in print, nor a digital form, nor sent for print to any other editor. I also declare that I submit the text for publication in the quarterly “Economic and Political Thought” and distribution in any way that is in accordance with Article 50 of the Act on Copyright and Related Laws.

c) Two copies of the article in print (on paper) in a *.doc format (tables should be in an *.xls format). There should be the author’s full name at the top of the text. Additionally, the text must be saved/burned on a CD with the author’s full name written on it. There can be only one article on the CD. The file’s title must also include the author’s name.
d) A copy of the article should be emailed to: wydawnictwo@lazarski.edu.pl. The text should be the same as the version in print and on the CD. Tables and graphs on the CD are subject to the same rule.
e) A positive recommendation from the author’s tutor in case he/she does not have an academic degree of a PhD.

2. Criteria for developing material
a. A text should not exceed one Polish publishing unit (i.e. about 22 A4 pages);
b. The main text should be printed in 12-point Times New Roman typeface with 1.5 interline spacing and the first line of each paragraph indented;
c. The name of the author, his/her workplace, telephone number and email address should be placed in the top left corner;
d. The title of an article, report or presentation of a scientific event should be developed in two languages: Polish and English (with an exception of a review1[1] that can be only in the Polish language);
e. Footnotes should be placed at the bottom of a page with the use of digital numbering. Example footnotes:
- a book – first name’s initial, surname, title, publisher, place and date of edition, page(s);
- an article in a collective work: first name’s initial, surname, title of the article, in: the editor’s first name’s initial, surname (ed.), title of the whole work, publisher, place and date of edition, page(s);
- an article in a journal: first name’s initial, surname, article’s title, “journal’s name”, year, issue, page(s);
- an article in a newspaper: first name’s initial, surname, article’s title, “newspaper’s name” of DD.MM.YYYY;
- Internet: title, link to the webpage, [date of access: DD.MM.YYYY].
f. After having finished the main part, it is necessary to develop bibliography containing only the sources referred to in the footnotes. Bibliography should be in alphabetical order in accordance with the pattern presented at the end of this document.
g. If possible, the text should have part/chapter headings.
h. Tables, graphs and diagrams should be numbered (e.g. Table 1, Graph 1, Diagram 1); the text in the tables and graphs should be in 10-point Times New Roman typeface with no interline spacing. The source of each table/graph/diagram must be given. At the top of each table/graph/diagram there must be a title; it should also contain a legend.
i. At the end of the work it is necessary to develop an abstract in Polish (a maximum of 700 words) and in English (a maximum of 700 words) – it is required only in case of scientific articles.
j. After an abstract, it is necessary to provide a list of key terms in Polish (a maximum of 7 words or phrases) and in English (a maximum of 7 words or phrases) – it is required only in case of scientific articles.
3. All the texts submitted to the editor are subject to obligatory double-blind reviews, in case of which the reviewers do not know the identity of the author(s).
4. A text can be published in the quarterly only if it gets a positive opinion from the reviewer and the Editor-in-Chief. If the text needs to be corrected, it will be published after it has been corrected.
5. In case more than one author have written a text, it is necessary to specify a percentage of their individual input share. In accordance with the adopted standards, a person that has applied for the publication bears full legal responsible for it.
6. The editor disapproves of any kind of ghostwriting and guest authorship. Any detected instances of these will be immediately unveiled and information about them will be passed to appropriate institutions.
7. The editor reserves the right to shorten a submitted work, change its title and headings, and correct the work’s style.
8. Honoraria are transferred to the authors’ bank accounts after they issue an invoice and send it to the editor.
